Lynne Ricardo RN,BSN,IBCLC

I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) providing comprehensive evidence based lactation consultation services to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers throughout the South Shore and Southeastern Massachusetts. I offer home visits and office consultations, prenatal and returning to work classes and breastfeeding support groups.
Thirty years ago, when I was in my senior year as a nursing student at St. Anselm College, I was selected for an internship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center where I worked in the NICU. From that time on, I have concentrated on maternal-child health in the hospital, home and office settings. I consider it a privilege to work with families at such a special time in their lives.
I live on the South Shore with my husband and two young adult children. I enjoy boating, fishing and beach combing. I am a regular volunteer at Bethesda House, a faith based home, where I provide lactation support and have the opportunity to meet some incredible young mothers and babies.
I am excited to join the collaborative at South Shore Perinatal Wellness Center and look forward to continuing to support breastfeeding mothers and babies.
Lynne Ricardo is currently offering private in-person breastfeeding classes at SSPWC or in the comfort of your own home. Each class is about 60 minutes. Payment is due at the time of the class. Most insurance companies will reimburse a family for the class fee. For more information or to schedule a class, please contact Lynne
Prenatal Breastfeeding Class This class is designed for you and your support person to learn about breastfeeding before your baby is born. You will learn about positioning, latch, how to tell if baby is getting enough milk and practices that are proven to be effective in setting a firm foundation for effective breastfeeding.
All About Pumping We will address how and when to pump and milk storage guidelines. Bring your own pump and we will review how to use and clean it as well as assess for correct flange fit.
Breastfeeding and Returning to Work Do you need help as you prepare to return to work and continue your breastfeeding journey? This class is for you! Together, we will come up with an individualized pumping schedule to best fit your work schedule and maintain milk supply. We will go over the logistics of pumping at work.
